Ok, so if you’ve taken my classes lately you’ve heard me say “New Year, New Me” is BS.
Just to be clear, I’m not implying for you to stay the same. In fact, quite opposite! I want you to move into 2023 with the attitude “New Year and I’m excited to continue to love myself, learn and grow!”
Let’s dive deeper into what growth and change really looks like…
“To Change is to think greater than how we feel. To change is to act greater than the familiar feelings of the memorized self.”
– Joe Dispenza
Below are some quick journal prompts to get you thinking. Answer these questions truthfully!!
– What class, online or in person, have you taken to deepen your knowledge or learn something new?
– What non-fiction book have you read that truly makes you open your mind and have an ah-ha moment?
– What podcast have you listened to, to dive deeper into something you’re passionate about?
– What fitness classes or exercise program do you attend that not only challenges you to become stronger, but teaches you to love your body?
– What kind of conversations are you having with your friends? Are they superficial and the same, or deep and meaningful?
– Do you hang out with anyone that forces you to level up, become a better version of yourself?
– When’s the last time you did something that scared you?
– When’s the last time you tried something new?
– Is your routine, thoughts and habits the same as last year? How about 5 years ago?
– List 10 things you want to accomplish this year.
– Describe who you want to be in 5 years. Get clear and include lots of details. Then, write out the steps you’d have to take to get there.
– What is something you’ve always wanted to do?
– What makes you feel alive and fulfilled?
– Who do you admire and why?

Look, if you got to the bottom of this page and think Nicole is crazy, I’m fine I love my life. I’m good. I don’t need journal prompts or books.
Take an honest look, are you trying to escape your life with busyness, alcohol, shopping, video games or any other vices?
If one of the above is the only thing that brings relief or joy and you can’t live without it…
